Twilight Princess Manga (why it isn't)
So, someone on the site's Facbook page asked if there had ever been any news on a Twilight Princess manga. Hell, like I knew, but of course I had always wondered why Akira Himekawa didn't do one for TP or WW. And I knew other people had wondered- so I decided I would try really hard to look it up.
With my limited knowledge, and Google Translate, I hunkered down and finally found a couple things, and a couple of blog posts written by the Akira Himekawa duo themselves, that looked promising. Then, to clear up the confusion left by an automated translation, Saphine (who is fluent) read them and figured it out for me. This is what she said about what they said:

"As far as the Twilight Princess manga goes... They actually were all set for working on it — they even got a green light from the editor — but the publisher was having some problems with the yearly magazine that normally publishes the Zelda/Himekawa series. That is to say, they weren't making enough money, so some projects got cut or put on hold, Twilight Princess included. The artists wanted to make it clear that it is not because they don't love the Zelda series, but because of technical difficulties, that they aren't releasing any Zelda material. As it were, they took this opportunity to do some original works and have been dedicated to those instead (because you know, Zelda is owned by Nintendo, so their creativity is limited to what is in the game). They said that there is always the future, though...
The artists reiterate the same thing by saying that they still love Zelda, but they're working on their original works for now. Despite that, though, it seems like their interest for Zelda has picked up again thanks to E3s revelations of Skyward Sword. LoL. So we'll have to wait patiently and see where it goes... "
